This beat tape is not a typical beat tape in the sense of its sound, but this is a collection of 24 track's that are made from years of archived beats, sketches, and half-finished ideas pulled from the MPC and given new life.
Built from the discarded edges of older sessions, “Clippings” isn’t just a collection of leftovers—it’s a deliberate curation of moments that were nearly lost. Each track has been reworked, re-processed, and refined into something complete. The album pulls from dusty boom bap, lo-fi textures, melodic fragments, and deep pocket grooves. It's an intimate snapshot of a producer in dialogue with his past self.
These were all ideas I couldn’t let go of, They didn’t make the cut before, but they always stuck in my head. I took the time to clean them up, make them hit harder, and bring them all into the same world.
The beat tape draws from hip-hop, soul, experimental electronics, and hardware-based production and vinyl samples, “Clippings” showcases the range and personality of a beatmaker with deep roots in the craft.
Perfect for your background music, something you wanna travel with, or discover a different style and sound within each song, the album is both cohesive and versatile so give it a spin and let me know what you think.
